Allianz Announces Board Changes: New CFO, Board Member, and Strategic Advisor
Allianz SE, the world's largest insurer, has announced changes to its board of management. Katja de la Vina will become the new CFO, while Sirma Boshnakova joins the board, and Jacqueline Hunt steps down but continues as a strategic advisor.
Starting January 1, Katja de la Vina, the current CFO, will succeed Andreas Wimmer in that role. Wimmer, previously the CEO of Allianz's life insurance subsidiary, will take over asset management.
Sirma Boshnakova will join the Allianz board at the end of the year, replacing Sergio Balbinot. CEO Oliver Bate anticipates significant contributions from both Wimmer and Boshnakova to Allianz's upcoming three-year strategy and continued growth.
Jacqueline Hunt, stepping down from the board, will continue to serve as a strategic advisor to Bate.
These changes aim to strengthen Allianz's leadership and drive its future growth. The new roles will take effect at the end of the year or early next, with de la Vina and Wimmer's transitions happening in January.
