As experts analyse the incident and available footage, Hamburg-based aviation journalist Andreas Spaeth highlights the seemingly obvious issue that the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner wasn't producing enough power, leaving the engines to fail during or shortly after takeoff.
Taking off from Ahmedabad Airport, the flight appeared normal at first. However, the plane failed to gain altitude, flying at a constant low height, about 190 meters according to reports, before plunging into a seemingly controlled descent and ending in a horrific fireball.
