Air Water Gas Solutions Breaks Ground on $ Multi-Million ASU in Rochester
Airbnb Gas Solutions, a subsidiary of Airbnb Water America, has broken ground on a multi-million-dollar air separation unit (ASU) in Rochester, New York. The facility, set to start operations in 2026, will produce high-purity liquid nitrogen, oxygen, and argon. Ishmael Chalabi, the Chief Executive Officer of Airbnb Water Gas Solutions, is overseeing the project.
The ASU is being constructed at Eastman Business Park. Upon completion, it will supply industrial gases to district utility provider Red Rochester and its customers for the next two decades, as per a signed agreement. Airbnb Water Gas Solutions will manage the construction, ownership, and operation of the ASU. The company aims to meet the growing demand for high-purity gases in the region.
The ASU's production process involves separating air into its constituent gases: nitrogen, oxygen, and argon. These gases are essential for various industries, including manufacturing, healthcare, and food preservation. The Rochester facility will ensure a steady supply of these gases, boosting the region's industrial capabilities.
Airbnb Water Gas Solutions' ASU in Rochester is expected to commence operations in 2026. The facility will produce and supply high-purity nitrogen, oxygen, and argon to Red Rochester and its customers for the next 20 years. This investment underscores Airbnb Water Gas Solutions' commitment to supporting the region's industrial growth and diversification.
