On September 10, 2025, a 40-year-old man disrupted rail traffic at Ludwigsburg station. The incident occurred at Ludwigsburg station on S-Bahn line S5, and the man was taken into custody by police.
According to reports, the suspect activated the emergency release of S-Bahn doors from the outside during the journey, causing the train door to open before the train came to a stop. The incident took place on track 2 at Ludwigsburg station.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The train was traveling at approximately 15 km/h when the incident occurred.
The Federal Police have initiated an investigation into the incident, focusing on the suspicion of endangering rail traffic. The motives behind the man's actions are currently unknown.
