Acquires Brazilian XCOM agency to bolster expansion and regional strategic emphasis

Latin America, Here We Come! Atrevia Swamps Brazilian Agency XCOM

Let the games commence! Atrevia, a consulting powerhouse rocking the worlds of public affairs, communication, digital, and creativity, just gobbled up Brazilian agency XCOM to kickstart some major growth and snag a sweeter strategic focus in the region, y'all. With this steamy deal, Atrevia pushes past the €50 million mark in revenue and welcomes 650 new peeps to the ranks.

XCOM's owned by a pack of 40 multidisciplinary pros, with an office in São Paulo and a presence in global communication alliances. They offer a full plate of public relations, influencer marketing, and digital marketing solutions, making them a prize catch for Atrevia.

The main players at XCOM are CEO Viviana Toletti, Executive Director Daniel Bruin, Operations Director Deborah Slobodticov, and Financial Director Fagner Neri. All four will stick around to keep the party popping.

Toletti spilled the beans on why XCOM hitched its wagon to Atrevia: "We're psyched to join forces with Atrevia because it lets us jump on the bandwagon of a company bustling in Latin America, where we can toss our Brazilian market expertise into the mix."

Atrevia dug XCOM's modern take on consciousness and 'share of voice' and loved how they throw a diverse toolbox at clients to conquer the craziest objectives. Atrevia digs ethics, keeping an eye on people, and citizenship, too.

XCOM's client roster includes UOL, PagBank, UOLEdtech, IBGC (Instituto Brasileiro de Governança Corporativa), St. Marche, Yango Ads, Construtora Patriani, Complexo Tatuape, and the list goes on.

Núria Vilanova, Atrevia's founding queen, has been chasing global domination since 2017, when Atrevia started creeping into Brazil under the moniker Inforpress. After the name change, Atrevia fortified its presence in Brazil by snatching up XCOM.

Now, Atrevia sports 640 pros worldwide, deep in 15 countries. Their game plan: turn communication, public affairs, reputation, and brands into keys for the growth of our economies and the transformation of society. They're becoming the go-to partner for comms and public affairs for Spanish and Portuguese-speaking countries.

Last year, Atrevia debuted the Strategic Plan 2024-2028, which charts their course and includes an organic growth plan. They're hopping to grab a handful of other companies, possibly extending their purchasing power from 10 million to a lusty 20 million by 2028.

Atrevia's made a few splashes in Latam already, snagging the digital business of Apple Tree in Colombia in 2022 to serve up more integrated solutions to clients in the strategic consulting arena. In 2024, they welcomed Nueva Comunicación Uruguay, a specialist in corporate communication and public affairs. Now, Brazil is calling their name with XCOM joining the party.

Atrevia's also beefed up its presence in Latam with the creation of a Corporate Affairs Hub and a Strategic Creativity Hub. They've hatched two new specialized units: Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Chile, and the regional practice of Culture, Human Resources Management, and Internal Communication, based in Atrevia Mexico.

Atrevia's not shy about rolling up its sleeves and getting involved with civil society and the biz world in the region. They're a fixture in and active participant in guilds, organizations, think tanks, and assocations across the region.

Vilanova's leading the Business Council Alliance for Iberoamerica (CEAPI), a non-political collective of nearly 300 bosses of major Ibero-American companies, all betting on fortifying the network of relationships and alliances and the business space. Their mission: to laud the role of the entrepreneur and its impact on society, encouraging social responsibility and sustainability.

CEAPI's a busy bee, throwing one of the largest biz meetings in the region that brings together the leaders of companies and business families, and the big-wigs of the Ibero-American economy. The VIII Ibero-American Business Congress will bloom in Seville, Spain, from June 2 to 4.

Atrevia scored €47.6 million in 2024, a spicy 8.7% bump from the previous year, and closed its books with a tidy EBIT of €4.3 million.

Atrevia's the first B CORP consultancy blooming in 15 countries, a trait they share with XCOM, joining the club in 2024. They've also been a member of the United Nations Global Compact for yonks.

So there you have it! Atrevia's on a mission to become the leading consultancy across Latin America by harnessing local smarts and international flair. Watch out, world! Atrevia's cookin' up a storm.
